HANDMADE IN FRANCE from VINTAGE VINYL RACQUET COVERS
Meet our new friend, Maxence, from northern France. He is a wooden racquet aficionado and an incredibly talented artisan. When he agreed to make 10 upcycled bags for our customers at TennisAlley, we were honored and thrilled! We selected the vinyl covers from his extensive collection and requested 6 slings (they call them "bananas" in Europe) and 4 toiletry bags. A little over a month later, he wrote to tell us that they were done ... and that he was strugging to part with them! He shared photos and videos that he took for our marketing purposes, noting that he wanted the bag linings to be a surprise. When the shipment arrived, we more than understood why he hesitated to let them go. They are fun and unique and the workmanship is exceptional.
I gave Maxence my word that the bags would go into good hands ... that we would sell them to people who are as enamored of tennis as we are. Obsessive, if you will. So if this is you or someone you love, join us for an exclusive initial showing at our 3rd Anniversary Open House:
Friday, Sept. 13th from 3–6pm and Saturday, Sept. 14th from 1–6pm
You really must see these one-of-a-kind bags in person to appreciate the craftsmanship (each bag takes up to 3 hours to make). And you won't find them anywhere else in the U.S. other than at TennisAlley Pro Shop & Gallery in Loveland, Colorado.
Our retail price on the sling bags (at right) is $76 each, and toiletry bags (below) are $93 each. We don't expect to get more before the holidays, so be quick about it!
Join us for our September Open House, featuring the exclusive bags from France, new mark-downs on many items, all four Wilson Britto racquets (designed by Brazilian artist Romero Britto), and fabulous new items for gift-giving and entertaining. We'll also have sip & shop refreshments including cake balls to celebrate Mom—our tennis matriarch and cheerleader would have been 88 on September 13th.
We hope to see you then. Thanks for supporting TennisAlley! Love-love, Ann, Bob, and Joey Diaz
